Participating at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Roundtable for Mayors and Ministers in Chicago, C40 Chair New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg today announced the launch of two new C40 city-led networks – the Green Growth Network and the Sustainable Infrastructure Finance Network – the first of several new action-oriented working groups of cities that will serve as a primary organizing principle of the C40.

On February 29th, I had the great honour to be one of the speakers of the TED 2012’s session about cities. The fact that I was invited to take part in an event that has already hosted personalities such as Bill Gates, Richard Dawkins and Bill Clinton, proves that Rio is really living a special moment. The world is clearly curious to learn about the projects that are transforming the marvellous city into a more sustainable and socially integrated city.
